RANS simulations of plane impinging jets: On the influence of plate velocity in the Nusselt number secondary peak

In the present work, heat transfer characteristics of a turbulent confined slot jet impinging on heated moving plate are studied by means time-averaged Navier-Stokes simulations. Three different conditions considered: zero velocity (stationary plate); with constant velocity; and acceleration. The nozzle-to-plate ratio inlet Reynolds number equal to 4 2 ? 104, respectively. objective research is investigate role condition development second peak in Nusselt profile along impingement plate. k-kl-? transition RANS model was validated against DNS experimental data able correctly predict both size location secondary peak.
